Join CALICO at the Livermore Valley Wine Auction

We are excited to inform you of an upcoming event that supports CALICO’s fundraising efforts. Each year, the Livermore Valley Wine Foundation hosts a fundraiser to support under-served children in the East Bay. We are thrilled that CALICO is a major beneficiary of this fundraiser: they expect to donate between $60,000-$80,000 in proceeds to us. California Creates Law for CACs

On September 30, 2020, Governor Newsom signed AB 2741 (Rubio), a bill that creates statutory requirements for children’s advocacy centers (CAC). These requirements clarify what services must be provided to qualify as a CAC. This historic move helps ensure that abused children receive the specific services they need for healing and justice, minimizes re-traumatization to hurt children, improves investigations into allegations of child abuse, and decreases investigational costs

CACC Corner: 2019 was a Big Year!
