A Little Goes a Long Way

Committed to CALICO long after her 3-year term on the CALICO Board concluded, Christina Walburn will be running for CALICO in the Oakland Running Festival for her 4th year in a row. Christina served on CALICO’s Board because she believes strongly in helping those most vulnerable. She believes that, “The children who come to CALICO are incredibly brave and, by sharing their stories, they are changing the course of their own lives.” Christina is further inspired by CALICO's staff and knows that CALICO’s professional partners are experts who are focused on the best outcome for every child. Christina said recently that serving on CALICO’s board was a wonderful opportunity to meet a diverse group of extremely talented professionals, all of who were able to be creative problem solvers in order to continue to achieve healing and justice for children in Alameda County. Christina is the Director of Sales and Marketing for the Zenith Insurance Company. Like Christina, we often get caught up with our own day-to-day lives and can’t afford the time to commit to the causes that we truly care about. But Christina is an example of how every bit of support counts, no matter how big or small. If you care about CALICO and the children we help, any of your support will go a long way.
